Our Role
The role of the PSFA is to raise money for equipment and resources that will enhance our children’s educational experience and the schools’ facilities and of course have a lot of fun whilst we do it!
What we do
We organise a range of events throughout the year that the children love and the school community supports. These typically include discos (usually in the Autumn and Spring), as well as our popular Christmas and Summer Fairs, Fireworks Night and Colour Run — all of which rely on the support of volunteers.
Alongside our larger events, we also run smaller activities across the year, such as cake, sweet and lolly sales, Easter activities, and other fundraising ideas as they arise.
How We Support the School
Thanks to the support of families and volunteers, the PSFA regularly contributes to a wide variety of resources and activities that benefit all pupils. Recent support has included the purchase of outdoor play equipment, a Year 6 Life Skills Workshop, and book bags for new Reception pupils.
Our aim is always to support projects and experiences that make a meaningful difference to the children’s school life.
How You Can Help
All PSFA events and activities are organised by a small group of parent and carer volunteers who give their time to support the school community. Larger events simply can’t happen without extra help, so when requests for volunteers go out, any support, even just an hour, is hugely appreciated.
Whether you’d like to help at an event, share an idea, or join the committee, you will always be very welcome. We also encourage parents and carers to attend PSFA meetings when they are advertised, as we value your thoughts and feedback.
Looking Ahead
Each year, the PSFA works closely with the school to identify priority projects and fundraising goals that will have the greatest impact for pupils. These may include improvements to outdoor spaces, learning resources, play and wellbeing initiatives, or whole-school enrichment opportunities.
Updates on current projects and plans are shared regularly through our communication channels, including our monthly newsletter.
Staying in Touch
You’ll find a PSFA notice board in the school reception, which we keep up to date. We also share information via year group WhatsApp messages, as well as our Facebook and Instagram pages and monthly newsletter.
