Our role

The role of the PSFA is to raise money, enhance and support the education of all the children at the school and have a lot of fun whist we do it!

What we do

Traditionally we organise a disco for in the Autumn and Spring Terms, usually late October and February. The PSFA also organise the Summer and Christmas Fairs, attended by you-know-who and the Christmas Shop.

Unfortunately our recent plans have been halted by the Coronavirus pandemic but we are raring to go and have a number of other plans for the forthcoming year which include children’s cinema nights and funding school trips.

We are also hoping to hold regular second hand uniform sales based in hall.

How you can help

We always need volunteers so whether you can spare an hour to help at a disco or you want to join the Committee, you will always be welcome.

2020 and beyond…

You may hear the phrase “MUGA” used a bit more soon, don’t panic no one is going to steal your wallet, this stands for “Multi Use Games Area” and it is Mrs Haydon’s desire to create an all weather area in the school grounds for the children to use for sports and play. Its going to be an expensive project and the PSFA’s priority over the next 12-18 months.

We’d also like to refurbish our Teachers staff room and would love to hear from any DIY enthusiasts who would like to help over the summer.

EasyFundraising is a really easy way to raise money for The Tynings PSFA. Just use the easyfundraising site to shop online and get redirected to thousands of retailers like Amazon, eBay, Tesco, John Lewis and and when you make a purchase, the retailer sends us a free donation.

You can register to support us (don’t worry, it’s completely free!) and start raising money every time you shop online.

Your School Lottery is a fun and effective way for your school to raise funds. Joining is easy and tickets cost £1. The draw will take place every Saturday night and the winners will be notified directly!

The Tynings winning weekly ticket wins nearly £20 which will increase based on the number of players and everyone is included in the National £25,000 weekly jackpot!!

The PSFA will receive 40% of all ticket sales from supporters that sign up on our page

Just visit and search for “The Tynings School”
